Perceptive is hiring for a data programming role focused on designing, coding, and validating programs to extract, transform, and QA clinical data. You will validate data, ensure integrity, and generate reports for stakeholders. Strong PL/SQL, Python, SAS skills are required, with experience in CLINICAL data standards and big data tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data programming or analytics.
• Bachelors in Math, Science, Engineering, Computing, or equivalent.
• Extensive experience using PL/SQL, Python to analyze data.
• Experience with SAS and SAS Macros; knowledge of PROC SQL.
• Familiarity with R and JavaScript is a plus.
• Knowledge of clinical vocabulary and healthcare data standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Programming, design, coding, testing, and documentation of programs.

Key Responsibilities

Programming Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors programs.

Writes and validates programs to extract and transform clinical data.

Wittes and validates programs (data validation scripts) to check the accuracy, completeness and consistency of data collected on the eCRF.

Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous validation and quality control processes.

Apply agreed standards, tools, and basic security practices to achieve high-quality results.

Generate standard reports by finding, selecting, acquiring and ingesting data sources undefined.

Integrating and cleansing data to make it fit for purpose.

Performs Code reviews.

Support data setup (eCRF) design if needed.

Data Quality Assurance.

Performs careful analysis of data to produce clear findings.

Detect and verify basic data issues to ensure accuracy and reliability of data and analysis.

Evaluate data to confirm it meets the requirements for its intended purpose.

Analyze and understand the context in which data is utilized to ensure relevance and applicability.

Exhibit a proactive and analytical mindset by asking relevant questions and thoroughly investigating data-related problems.

Execute data preparation and cleansing tasks with precision, following established guidelines and best practices with guidance.

Data Management.

Data Governance – Emphasize the importance of data governance policies in maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance within the organization.

Project-Specific Data Management: Demonstrate how data management tools, procedures, and methods are applied to specific projects to enhance data accuracy, accessibility, and actionable insights.

Data Operations.

Provide reports to business based on function or project requirements.

Support business stakeholders in generation of reports to support efficient business process and outlier reviews.

Ability to interpret concepts, ideas and data to outputs that are understood by the business.

Independently identify gaps/issues/trends through exploratory data analysis.

Use discussions with stakeholders and understanding of existing available data to pull and provide data driven insights to the business from various systems.

Documentation.

Participate in review of export requirements specification and external, client documentation.

Document evidence of data findings following internal SOPs and best practices.

Create installation qualification documents and other technical specifications that provide instructions for program execution.

Contribute to creation and maintenance of documentation for all programming activities and processes.

Other.

Communicates fluently, orally and in writing, and can present complex information to both technical and nontechnical.

Experience, Education, and Certifications

3+ year of experience.

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Math, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.

Extensive experience using computer languages to analyse data PL/SQL, Python – required SAS (SAS Macros, PROC SQL), R, JavaScript.

Experience with big data technologies and tools.

Knowledge of clinical vocabulary and healthcare data standards.

Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.

English: Fluent.

Knowledge of CDISC (CDASH/SDTM/ADaM) mapping/specs/conversion/domains/datasets a plus.
