Perceptive is seeking a QA lead to drive testing strategy and ensure quality across software and services in the biopharmaceutical space.

You will mentor teams, develop test plans, and coordinate with stakeholders to satisfy regulatory and project requirements. The role emphasizes strong process and communication skills and experience in life sciences domains.

Qualifications

• Proven experience mentoring colleagues and leading teams.
• Experience in regulated environments (GxP, etc.) or transferable testing experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create test cases from functional and non-functional specs with traceability to requirements.
• Develop and maintain test scripts, regression packs, and test environments.
• Record and analyze actions/results; manage a defect register and report progress.
• Provide reports on quality, risks, and issues to stakeholders and project team.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibility Supporting Activities Testing Responsible for the creation of test cases using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications such as reliability, efficiency, usability, maintainability and portability). Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements. Produces test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services. Specifies requirements for environment, data, resources and tools. Interprets, executes and documents complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards. Records and analyses actions and results, and maintains a defect register. Reviews test results and modifies tests if necessary. Provides reports on progress, anomalies, risks and issues associated with the overall project. Reports on system quality and collects metrics on test cases. Provides specialist advice to support others.

Quality Assurance

• Conducts formal audits or reviews to investigates the conduct of processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards for activities, processes, data, products or services. For projects, development or support activities; plans, organizes and conducts audits and determines whether appropriate quality control has been applied. Collates, collects and examines records, analyses the evidence and drafts all or part of formal compliance reports. Determines the risks associated with findings and non‑compliances and proposes corrective actions.

Relationship Management

• Implements stakeholder engagement / communications plan. Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure effectiveness of stakeholder management. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships. Understands and collaborates on the analysis of user/customer needs and represents this in their work. Influences customers, suppliers and partners at account level. Engages across all stakeholders to ensure that user needs are being met throughout. Provides informed feedback to assess and promote understanding.

Methods and Tools

• Provides advice and guidance to support adoption of methods and tools and adherence to policies and standards. Tailors processes in line with agreed standards and evaluation of methods and tools. Reviews and improves usage and application of methods and tools.

• Initiates and monitors actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services. Determines problem fixes/remedies. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.

• Work includes a broad range of complex technical or professional activities, in a variety of contexts. Investigates, defines and researches complex issues.

Experience, Education, and Certifications

• Proven experience managing and leading mentoring colleagues.
• Proven line management and leadership management.
• Experience using tools to communicate progress to Stakeholders.
• Experience of regulated environments (GxP, Financial, etc…) or relevant testing experience from another domain that is transferable.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies (preferably Scrum), UML, Object Orientated, Data Modeling, Process Modeling and/or other development methodologies.
• Experience of working in and knowledge of the life sciences sector.
• Solid Professional experience in the same or very similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience.
• English: Fluent.
