Role Description

This full-time on-site Clinical Audiologist role is based in Chennai and involves providing comprehensive audiological services to clients of varied ages. Daily responsibilities include conducting hearing assessments, interpreting test results, and recommending appropriate treatment plans and hearing solutions. The Clinical Audiologist will perform hearing aid selection, fitting, programming, and follow-up care, while maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation. The role also includes aural rehabilitation services, counseling clients and families on hearing health, and collaborating with other professionals to support speech and communication outcomes. The clinician is expected to follow evidence-based practices, uphold regulatory standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of clinic processes and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing, including audiometric testing, hearing aid fitting, verification, and counseling.
• Experience in Speech and Speech Therapy to support communication development, including collaboration with speech-language professionals when needed.
• Proficiency in Aural Rehabilitation, including auditory training, communication strategies, and patient education.
• Recognized degree in Audiology and Hearing (e.g., BASLP, MASLP, MSc Audiology or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Relevant professional registration or license as required by local regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with clients and families, with strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Comfort working in an on-site clinical setting, with the ability to manage a steady caseload and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Prior experience in a hearing care clinic or hospital setting is an advantage.
