Job summary

Interhire Solutions is seeking a pediatric-trained physician to provide clinical care and monitoring for NICU and PICU patients, as well as newborns and pediatric OPD cases, within a hospital setting in Kurla, Mumbai.

The role requires MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics, strong communication and documentation skills, and willingness to work 24-hour duty shifts or 48 hours per week in rotation.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics required.
• Freshers or 1–2 years of experience acceptable.
• Good communication, documentation and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care and monitoring for admitted NICU babies and PICU patients during assigned duty hours.
• Manage admitted pediatric patients and monitor their clinical progress.
• Provide medical care and monitoring for newborns delivered at the hospital.
• Attend to pediatric OPD consultations and assess patients as required.
• Administer and supervise vaccinations in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct patient assessments, maintain medical records, and prepare clinical notes.
• Recognize clinical deterioration and initiate emergency management with escalation to senior consultants.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection-control practices, and patient-safety standards.
• Participate in shift handovers and ensure continuity of care for all patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care and monitoring for admitted NICU babies and PICU patients during assigned duty hours.
• Manage admitted pediatric patients and monitor their clinical progress.

• Attend to pediatric OPD consultations and assess patients as required.

Candidate Requirements

• MBBS with MD/DNB in Pediatrics ( Freshers or 1 -2 years of experience)
• Sound clinical knowledge of neonatal and pediatric care.
• Ability to assess and manage admitted pediatric patients and support NICU/PICU care within the candidate's competence and hospital protocols.
• Good communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts or an agreed 24-hour duty schedule.
• Commitment to patient safety and ethical medical practice.

Duty Schedule

The expected working commitment is 48 hours per week. Candidates may be considered for either an 8-hour shift arrangement or a 24-hour duty schedule, subject to the hospital's staffing requirements and agreed roster.
