Job summary

Jupiter Hospitals Projects Private Limited is seeking personnel for the Critical Care unit to manage critical patients in the CCU. The role involves taking detailed histories, conducting examinations, and coordinating care with consultants and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include documenting clinical events, obtaining consent for procedures, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Strong communication with relatives and team members is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take detail clinical history and perform physical and systemic examination and write findings.
• Inform admission/discharge/death to the Consultant Intensivist/Clinical Associate/Primary Consultant.
• Explain investigation and treatment plan to the concerned staff nurse.
• Follow up investigation reports and vital parameters and inform the Consultant Intensivist/Primary Consultant.
• Ensure the advice and treatment given by Consultant Intensivist/Primary Consultant is followed and documented properly.
• Inform any change in vitals to the duty clinical associate and carry out orders.
• Do MLC documents and inform the police.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols in the unit.
• Inform seniors and document all events regarding patient’s clinical condition.
• Address and discuss with relatives any change in treatment plan whenever necessary.
• Accompany patient for investigations outside the CCU such as MRI/CT scan.
• Report to clinical associate on call.
• Explain and take consent of any procedure done in the CCU.
• Perform and carry out procedures under supervision of senior clinicians.
• Communicate any change in treatment plan to nursing staff and team leader.
• Coordinate nursing related issues with team leader, nurse manager and clinical associate.
• Maintain discipline in the unit.
• Attend and present seminars and participate in academic activities of all department.
• Perform bedside teaching programmed for nurses and new entrants.
• Prepare patient for procedures.
• Fill death certificate/MLC documents in consultation with Consultant Intensivist/Primary Consultant.
• Give and take detailed handover from on duty Clinical Assistant.
• Take/Attend clinical rounds with seniors.
• Report any unwanted events in CCU to Clinical Associate/Consultant Intensivist.
