Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Civil/Structural Engineer to plan, design and support maintenance projects for industrial facilities.

The role requires 8–12 years in industrial environments, with proficiency in AutoCAD and reading P&ID and isometrics, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8–12 years in industrial facilities, plants, refineries or infrastructure.
• Experience in planning, estimation, scoping, and technical support for civil/structural maintenance.
• Familiar with reinforced concrete and structural steel works.
• Reading P&ID, layout drawings and isometrics.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide technical support for civil/structural assets.
• Evaluate maintenance and project requests for civil/structural work.
• Develop scopes of work for repair, replacement and new construction.
• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs and cost estimates.
• Review drawings, engineering docs and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, procurement and execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & Technical Support
• Evaluate maintenance and project requests related to civil and structural assets.
• Develop scopes of work for repair, replacement, and new construction activities.
• Prepare technical work packages, BOQs, material take-offs, and cost estimates.
• Technical evaluations and quotation reviews submitted by the vendor
• Review drawings, engineering documents, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, procurement, and execution teams.

Civil Engineering Scope

• Drainage system repair and construction.
• Bituminous road repair and new road development.
• Bund wall repair and construction.
• Concrete repair and rehabilitation.
• Static and rotary equipment foundation repair and new foundation construction.

Structural Engineering Scope

• Structural steel repair and replacement.
• Equipment supports structures.
• Pipe support structures.
• Deck plate and steel platform repairs.
• Steel column repair and replacement.
• Road barrier and miscellaneous steel installations.

Work Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8-12 years of experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, or infrastructure environments.
• Experience in planning, estimation, scoping, and technical support of civil and structural maintenance projects.
• Familiarity with both reinforced concrete and structural steel works.
• Expert in reading all the documentation like P& ID, Layout drawings & Isometrics
• Good written and verbal communication

Preferred Skills

• BOQ preparation and estimation.
• Quantity take-off.
• Technical specification development.
• AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of civil and structural engineering standards and maintenance practices.
