Job summary

Saipem is seeking a senior Civil/Structural engineer in Chennai with 15+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Oil & Gas. The role emphasizes leading multi-discipline project teams, planning schedules, and delivering robust structural designs for industrial facilities and substations.

Mandatory proficiency in STAAD.Pro and a solid understanding of international codes. The candidate should have strong capabilities in project leadership, estimates, and change management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in Oil & Gas.
• Exposure to Field Engineering and Basic/FEED engineering is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects with a minimum of 30,000 man-hours and peak team size of 20+ engineers.
• Develop project schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlines.
• Prepare engineering man-hour estimates based on quantities and deliverables.
• Handle change management processes related to input modifications and additional scope.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures such as pipe racks, shelters, technology structures, and foundations (equipment and machine foundations requiring dynamic analysis).
• Design industrial buildings including substations, control rooms, and administrative facilities.
• Apply knowledge of international codes and standards in engineering design.
