Job summary

Cyient Limited seeks a seasoned Civil Structural Engineer to join our onshore team in India. You will design, analyze, and evaluate civil and structural components for onshore facilities, ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry codes.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a Civil Engineering degree (Masters preferred), and proficiency with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS and AutoCAD. PE license is highly preferred; travel to site will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in civil/structural design for onshore projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS).
• Familiarity with relevant building codes (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC) and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of foundations, steel structures, concrete elements for onshore facilities.
• Develop drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD/analysis software.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to gather data and monitor progress.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical/electrical engineers, and project managers.
• Review codes and standards to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Identify and resolve engineering challenges with cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and present technical information clearly.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join our onshore team at Cyient, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of civil and structural components for various onshore projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of foundations, steel structures, concrete elements, and other civil components for onshore facilities, including industrial plants, power generation facilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Develop engineering drawings, specifications, and reports using relevant software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS).
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing conditions, gather data, and monitor construction progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers, to ensure integrated and efficient project execution.
• Review and interpret technical documents, codes, and standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC) to ensure design integrity and compliance.
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules.
• Identify and resolve engineering challenges, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating technical information.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and structural design for onshore projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
• Strong understanding of relevant building codes and industry standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC).
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or other drafting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as required.
