Job summary

Saipem in Chennai seeks a Civil/Structural Engineer to perform analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures for oil and gas facilities. You will design pipe racks, shelters, equipment supports and foundations in line with international codes.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (including at least 2 years in oil & gas) and a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering; ME/MTech preferred. You will be expected to ensure compliance with international codes, prepare engineering estimates,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in the Oil & Gas industry.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering mandatory.
• M.E./M.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and design of steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Design pipe racks, shelters, equipment support structures, and associated foundations.
• Design foundations for static equipment and storage tanks.
• Carry out machine foundation design, including dynamic analysis.
• Design industrial buildings such as substations, control rooms, administration buildings, and related facilities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable international design codes and standards.
• Prepare engineering man-hour estimates and support project planning activities.

Experience

• Experience in Field Engineering and Basic/FEED Engineering will be an added advantage.
