As a Civil Design Engineer specializing in substations, you will shape critical energy infrastructure and lead a team of engineers, ensuring code-compliant designs and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; master's preferred.
• 7+ years of substations civil/structural design experience.
• Proficiency in STAAD.Pro for analysis.
• Familiarity with IS/BS/Euro/IEC codes for substation structures.
• Knowledge of PLS Tower/PLS CADD is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detail engineering and structural design of substation structures up to 220 kV using STAAD.Pro.
• Develop civil and structural designs for foundations, control buildings, and supports.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications for substation projects.
• Review designs for code compliance with internal teams and vendors.
• Design pile-type and conventional foundations for substation structures.
• Lead engineers on civil design deliverables and coordinate with project teams.
• Represent the company in client discussions and provide design guidance.

What You'll Do

• Perform detail engineering and structural design of substation structures up to 220 kV and above using STAAD.Pro.
• Develop civil and structural designs for equipment foundations, control buildings, and support structures.
• Prepare structural drawings, design calculations, and technical specifications for substation projects.
• Review and validate designs from internal teams and external vendors to ensure code compliance.
• Design pile‑type and conventional foundations for substation structures.
• Lead a team of engineers on civil design deliverables and coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with clients and provide expert structural design guidance.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering; Master's in Civil, Structural, or Energy Studies is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in civil and structural design of substations.
• Strong proficiency in STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Working knowledge of IS, BS, Euro or IEC design codes for substation structures.
• Familiarity with PLS Tower or PLS CADD is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
