Job summary

Egis Road Operation India is seeking a Civil Engineer for Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The role requires 5–7 years of experience and a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with expertise in master planning, township development and infrastructure projects.

You will review drawings, coordinate with clients and government departments, prepare BOQs and progress reports, and support site visits and technical documentation for coastal and island projects.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering/infrastructure planning.
• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
• Experience in master planning, township development, urban infrastructure or DPR projects.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and implementation of the Detailed Master Plan for the proposed township in Great Nicobar Island.
• Review and coordinate master planning, infrastructure and civil engineering requirements for the proposed development.
• Assist in planning and design of roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage, utilities and other infrastructure services.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, technical specifications and estimates prepared by consultants/design teams.
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, government departments and other stakeholders for project requirements and approvals.
• Conduct site visits and assess existing physical infrastructure, site conditions and development constraints.
• Assist in preparation/review of BOQs, cost estimates, technical reports and project documentation.
• Monitor progress of assigned technical activities and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Support identification and resolution of technical issues related to civil and infrastructure works.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, presentations and technical MIS for the client.

Experience in coastal/island infrastructure, seismic areas, large-scale township development or projects involving multiple government agencies would be an added advantage, considering the project's coastal and environmentally sensitive setting
