Job summary

Egis is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to master planning and infrastructure projects in Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. You will review drawings, prepare cost estimates, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and government agencies to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience, with a focus on roads, drainage, water supply and utilities. Willingness to work from Port Blair is essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering/infrastructure planning, preferably with master planning, township development, urban infrastructure or DPR projects.
• B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering.
• Good understanding of roads, water supply, sewerage, drainage and storm-water infrastructure.
• Experience in reviewing drawings, BOQs, estimates, DPRs and technical reports.
• Exposure to government/PMC/consultancy projects will be preferred.
• Good coordination, communication and report-writing skills.
• Candidate should be willing to work in Port Blair.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation and implementation of the Detailed Master Plan for the proposed township in Great Nicobar Island.
• Review and coordinate master planning, infrastructure and civil engineering requirements for the proposed development.
• Assist in planning and design of roads, drainage, water supply, sewerage, utilities and other infrastructure services.
• Review engineering drawings, layouts, technical specifications and estimates prepared by consultants/design teams.
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, government departments and other stakeholders for project requirements and approvals.
• Conduct site visits and assess existing physical infrastructure, site conditions and development constraints.
• Assist in preparation/review of BOQs, cost estimates, technical reports and project documentation.
• Monitor progress of assigned technical activities and ensure timely submission of deliverables.
• Support identification and resolution of technical issues related to civil and infrastructure works.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, presentations and technical MIS for the client.
