Job summary

Prosim Research & Development in Bengaluru is seeking an Offshore Structural Engineer to lead analysis and design of offshore platforms, jackets, and related structures, using Tekla Structures and STAAD.Pro.

You will prepare fabrication and erection drawings, perform codes-compliant calculations (API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV-ST-0126, AISC), review vendor loads, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for brownfield modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 5-6 years of offshore civil/structural experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of offshore design codes (DNV, API).
• Proficiency in Tekla Structures and STAAD.Pro mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of offshore platforms, topsides, jackets, modules, and support structures.
• Develop detailed structural models, fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and construction deliverables using Tekla Structures.
• Prepare platform framing plans, structural sections, connection details, and fabrication drawings.
• Execute structural design calculations per API RP 2A, ISO 19902, DNV-ST-0126, and AISC.
• Perform in-place, operating, transportation, lifting, and load-out analyses using STAAD.Pro and/or SACS.
• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTO), BOQs, and steel weight reports.
• Review vendor equipment loads and incorporate them into structural designs.
• Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation.
• Support offshore brownfield modifications, constructability reviews, IFC, and As-Built engineering activities.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with client specifications, international codes, and project quality standards.
