Actemium India, a subsidiary of VINCI Energies, is a dedicated business unit specializing in design, engineering, supply, installation, and commissioning for electrical, instrumentation, and automation in process industries, as well as turnkey robotic and substation solutions.

A Structural Engineer will play a key part in ensuring commitments to customers are delivered on time and to the highest standard. The role involves working closely with Senior Engineers and CAD designers to produce structural designs for substation projects delivered across the UK and ROI, covering equipment support structures (steel and aluminium), foundations for equipment support structures, transformers and other plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs in accordance with the Client’s requirements and relevant design standards to achieve cost‑effective solutions. This includes British Standards, European Standards and industry specific design standards from National Grid and UK. The scope covers substation equipment foundations, equipment structures in steel and aluminium, multi‑storey steel‑framed equipment buildings, elements of transmission towers, lightning masts, and the like.
• Develop advanced proficiency in structural analysis software (preferably Robot Structural Analysis), AutoCAD, MS Office and various in‑house calculation software as required.
• Represent the structures department in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Prepare and check structural reports, design calculations, structural analysis models and other written documents.
• Keep up to date with industry developments and changes in standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and offices within the company to develop successful designs and solutions to engineering problems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of Power Transmission & Distribution project experience (5 years desirable) and a Masters or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• Desirable – UK project delivery and remote collaboration experience with overseas teams.
