Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• 3–7 years of experience in infrastructure/land development projects.
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is required.
• Knowledge of road design standards, grading and drainage, earthwork calculations, and utility coordination.
• Good understanding of AutoCAD standards.
• Ability to read and interpret survey drawings.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.

Role Overview:

The Civil 3D Design Engineer is responsible for developing accurate 2D drawings and 3D models for infrastructure and land development projects using Autodesk Civil 3D. The role involves preparing surface models, grading plans, road alignments, drainage systems, and utility layouts in accordance with project requirements. The engineer will perform earthwork calculations, quantity take-offs, and generate detailed drawings such as cross-sections and profiles.

This position requires close coordination with survey teams and multidisciplinary teams including structural, architectural, and MEP to ensure design accuracy and project alignment. The role also involves maintaining CAD standards, validating survey data, and supporting BIM-based workflows where applicable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop 2D drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Civil 3D
• Prepare surface models (existing & proposed)
• Grading plans and earthwork calculations
• Road alignments, profiles & corridors
• Utility layouts (water, sewer, storm)
• Drainage and stormwater designs
• Perform quantity take-offs and material estimates
• Generate cross-sections, long-sections, and detailed drawings
• Coordinate with structural, architectural, and MEP teams
• Ensure compliance with local codes and client standards
• Review and validate survey data for accuracy
• Maintain CAD standards, layering, and file management protocols
• Support BIM workflows where applicable

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in infrastructure / land development projects
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D
• Knowledge of road design standards, grading & drainage principles, earthwork calculations, and utility coordination
• Good understanding of AutoCAD standards
• Ability to read and interpret survey drawings
• Strong coordination and communication skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in international projects (US / Middle East preferred)
• Knowledge of BIM workflows
• Familiarity with InfraWorks / Navisworks (added advantage)
• Experience in LOD-based modeling
