Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking a skilled Citrix Administrator/Engineer in Chennai to provide Level 2 support for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) on-premises. You will deploy, configure, and maintain StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, VDA, and NetScaler, while monitoring performance and optimizing user experience.

The role requires 3–5+ years of Citrix administration experience, a IT/CS degree, and desirable Citrix certifications (CCAV/CCPV).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (preferred).
• Citrix certifications (CCAV, CCPV) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for Citrix CVAD components and resolve escalated incidents.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain on‑prem Citrix components like StoreFront, DCs, VDA, and NetScaler.
• Monitor performance and user experience using Citrix Director/Studio; optimize bottlenecks.

Core Responsibilities (L2 OnPrem)

• Provide Level2 support for Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops (XenApp/XenDesktop), resolving escalated incidents and service requests.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain onprem Citrix components such as StoreFront, Delivery Controllers, VDA, Citrix ADC/NetScaler.
• Monitor performance and user experience using Citrix Director, Studio, and other monitoring tools; identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
• Manage user profiles and policies, including Ivanti ,WEM, FSLogix, and AD Group Policies.
• Apply patches, updates, and perform maintenance to keep the environment secure and stable.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, including login slowness, session failures, profile corruption, and NetScaler connectivity problems.
• Document configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides for internal use.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (network, storage, security, Windows, virtualization) to resolve multilayer issues.
• Manage user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with security policies.

Team & Operational Responsibilities

• Ticket management: Handle L2 queue, prioritize issues, and escal to L3 when required.
• Support change management: Participate in planned changes, upgrades, and migrations.
• Provide knowledge sharing and training to L1 engineers.

Required Technical Skills

• Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (CVAD) – strong handson experience.
• Citrix ADC / NetScaler – load balancing, gateway, certificates, authentication.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server administration.
• Profile management: FSLogix, WEM. Ivanti
• PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, LAN/WAN.
• Hypervisors: VMware ESXi, HyperV (varies by organization).

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Citrix administration/engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science (preferred).
• Citrix certifications (CCAV, CCPV) are highly desirable.
