Job summary

Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned DevOps/CI-CD engineer to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and related tooling. You will develop shared libraries in Groovy, write Python scripts, and integrate testing frameworks to improve quality and velocity.

The role requires 5+ years of commercial experience in CI/CD, cloud-based pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, and strong collaboration with development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or related field; 5+ years of commercial experience, or Master’s with 3+ years.
• Expertise in DevOps principles and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for workflow optimization and automation.
• Develop and maintain Jenkins shared libraries and plugins using Groovy.
• Create and maintain automated scripts in Python to enhance CI/CD processes.
• Integrate testing frameworks and code quality tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks; monitor pipeline health and performance.
• Provide weekly status reports of CI environment.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate projects into the CI/CD system.
• Document CI/CD workflows, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.

Key Tasks & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, focusing on workflow optimization and automation.
• Develop and maintain Jenkins shared libraries and plugins using Groovy.
• Create and maintain automated scripts and tools using Python to enhance CI/CD processes.
• Integrate various testing frameworks and code quality tools into the CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.Monitor pipeline health and performance, implementing improvements as needed.
• Monitor daily state of CI environment
• Provide weekly status reports of CI environment
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate their projects into the CI/CD system.
• Document CI/CD workflows, best practices, and troubleshooting guides.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in CI/CD tooling

Minimum education requirements and experience

• Bachelor Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 5 years of commercial experience, Master Science with 3 years of experience,
• Expertise in DevOps Technologies & Principles (CI/CD)Experience with (Cloud Based) CI Systems like Jenkins, Gitlab CI or even GitHub Actions.

Preferred qualifications & skills

• Experience in pipeline/workflow development (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in container virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker or LXC).Skilled in platform-independent scripting languages (e.g., Python) for tool development and testing.
• Proficiency in platform-dependent Unix scripting languages (e.g., BASH for Linux).
• Advanced git usage for continuous integration and developer tooling support.Experience with REST APIs and other service integrations.
• Experience with (embedded) software build systems

• Experience in Cloud Infrastructure Technologies & Tools e.g., Azure Cloud (AKS)Container orchestration Systems e.g., KubernetesJSON; XML for configuration management of the different tools & services
