Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Delhi is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support teachers and families in a nurturing early childhood setting. You will help ensure safety, assist with classroom activities, and maintain a stimulating environment in line with best practices.

We value teamwork, dedication to children’s development, and reliable, friendly service. Full-time role with regular hours and benefits, located in Delhi. No evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assist teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorate inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment enabling children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about their child.

What will you be doing?

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Teacher, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks - 12 years.
• Assisting teachers with instruction in the classroom.
• Decorating inside and outside of classrooms as needed.
• Maintaining a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
