Job summary

Pramac seeks a high-impact Chief Operating Officer to lead the Kolkata-based manufacturing and operations for Generac Captiva Pvt. Ltd.

The role covers manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, quality, project execution, service operations, and EH&S, reporting to Generac Captiva's CEO. You will translate strategy into integrated plans, drive KPIs, and elevate the site to global quality and export-ready standards.

Qualifications

• Proven senior operational leadership experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in technology-driven capital equipment businesses; knowledge of the power generation industry is a strong advantage.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, sourcing, quality systems, project execution, service operations, and EH&S.
• Demonstrated success in improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, and customer service through structured operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience in scaling or transforming manufacturing operations and aligning local processes with global standards; export exposure is a plus.
• Solid financial and commercial acumen, with experience managing operations budgets, capital expenditure, product cost, working capital, and productivity programs.
• Proven ability to lead organizational change, develop management teams, and create strong cross-functional accountability.
• Strategic vision combined with hands-on, execution-focused leadership; strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end operations of the Indian subsidiary, including manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing, quality, project execution, service operations, and EH&S.
• Translate the company’s commercial strategy and demand plan into an integrated operational plan covering capacity, production, materials, resources, inventory, projects, and service delivery.
• Drive manufacturing performance through clear operating routines and KPIs focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, inventory, and customer satisfaction.
• Upgrade the Kolkata manufacturing facility, processes, and quality systems to meet Generac’s global standards and enable export requirements and intercompany demand.
• Lead S&OP in coordination with CEO, Sales, Finance, Product Management, and relevant functions.
• Strengthen supply chain resilience, supplier performance, material availability, and cost competitiveness.
• Ensure robust project execution from order handover through engineering, procurement, production, installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance.
• Build an effective service operating model for installation, commissioning, warranty, maintenance, and spare parts.
• Collaborate with Engineering/R&D to industrialize products and align portfolio with operational capabilities.
• Establish and improve quality management systems, non-conformity management, and CAPA processes.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational excellence using lean, standardization, digital tools, and data-driven performance management.
• Own the operations budget and cost base with Finance; oversee productivity, capex, make-or-buy decisions, and working capital.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, environmental, health, safety, product, and internal control standards; manage operational risks and business continuity.
