Job summary

Resonia, formerly Sterlite Power, seeks a Chief Manager - Planning to lead capital and expense projects in the transmission grid sector. You will own planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control across complex transmission line and sub-station initiatives, ensuring alignment with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

You will mentor junior planners, drive standardization of planning processes, and deliver accurate dashboards and reports to senior management, with a focus on timely execution

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Integrate engineering, procurement, and construction timelines into a unified master schedule.
• Monitor progress and update schedules to reflect actual performance and forecast future timelines.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates.
• Track actual costs against budget and analyze variances.
• Implement cost control measures to optimize resource utilization and reduce overruns.
• Facilitate planning and cost review meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior planners and cost analysts.
• Generate progress and cost reports, dashboards, and variance analyses for senior management.
• Identify schedule and cost risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment on timelines and budgets.
• Present planning and cost control strategies to senior leadership and clients.
• Develop and implement planning and cost control standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Continuously improve tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy

This includes both “Capital and Expense projects” of “Transmission Grid” which entails Construction of transmission lines, sub-stations, and execution of Smart Grid solutions

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
