Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Chief Interface Coordinator for a major metro project in Chennai. You will oversee interfaces across civil, systems, rolling stock, utilities, contractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure on-time delivery within budget and compliance.

Responsibilities include leading interface registers, coordinating with client and EPC contractors, supporting testing and handover readiness, and driving risk control and schedule integration while upholding HSE and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Transportation Engineering.
• 15+ years in large infrastructure/rail/metro projects.
• Minimum 5+ years in interface management or multidisciplinary coordination.
• Knowledge of metro systems integration and project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all project interfaces between design, construction, testing, commissioning, and operations.
• Coordinate interfaces among civil works, track, signaling, telecom, power, AFC, MEP, depot, and rolling stock.
• Maintain an Interface Register and track closure of interface issues.
• Coordinate with client, EPC contractors, consultants, government bodies, and utility agencies.
• Support readiness for testing, commissioning, and handover to operations.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and quality requirements.
• Escalate critical issues affecting milestones.

Job Description

The Chief Interface Coordinator for a metro project is responsible for managing and controlling all interfaces between civil, systems, rolling stock, utilities, contractors, consultants, government agencies, and operations teams.
