Key Responsibilities

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership and driving the organization's long-term financial growth. The role encompasses Finance & Accounts, Treasury, Costing, Taxation, Purchase, Stores, EXIM, Dispatch, Corporate Governance, Investor Relations, IPO Readiness, Mergers & Acquisitions, Fund Raising, and Enterprise Risk Management.

The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Auditors, Banks, Investors, and Business Heads to maximize shareholder value while ensuring financial discipline, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable business growth.

1. Financial Strategy & Business Leadership

• Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Partner with the CEO and Board in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Drive profitability, cash flow optimization, and capital allocation.
• Establish financial policies, governance frameworks, and internal controls.
• Provide strategic insights through financial analytics and business intelligence.

2. Finance & Accounts

• Lead end-to-end Finance & Accounts operations.
• Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Ensure completion of Monthly MIS by the 5th of every month.
• Manage General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
• Ensure accurate accounting under Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and applicable financial regulations.
• Lead ERP implementation, financial automation, and digital transformation initiatives.

3. Treasury & Fund Management

• Manage working capital and liquidity planning.
• Optimize cash flow across business units.
• Lead treasury operations, banking relationships, and investment planning.
• Negotiate banking facilities including:
• Working Capital
• Cash Credit (CC)
• Overdraft (OD)
• Term Loans
• Buyer's Credit
• Letter of Credit (LC)
• Bank Guarantees
• Prepare CMA Data and Project Reports for lenders.
• Drive foreign exchange risk management and hedging strategies.

4. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control

• Develop robust product costing and profitability models.
• Drive cost optimization across manufacturing operations.
• Monitor:
• Material Cost
• Conversion Cost
• Labour Cost
• Overheads
• Machine Utilization
• Plant Efficiency
• Conduct margin analysis by customer, product, and business segment.
• Lead inventory valuation and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Monitor scrap generation, rejection cost, yield losses, and production variances.

5. Purchase, Stores & Inventory

• Provide financial oversight for Purchase and Stores.
• Strengthen procurement controls and vendor payment processes.
• Improve inventory turnover and working capital efficiency.
• Ensure accurate inventory valuation and monthly stock verification.
• Review slow-moving, obsolete, and non-moving inventory.

6. EXIM & Dispatch

• Oversee financial aspects of import and export operations.
• Ensure compliance with FEMA, Customs, DGFT, and RBI regulations.
• Manage import documentation, LC documentation, export incentives, and duty benefits.
• Support dispatch operations through financial controls and logistics cost optimization.

7. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure complete compliance with:
• Income Tax
• GST
• TDS
• Customs
• FEMA
• Companies Act
• Lead tax planning and optimization initiatives.
• Handle tax assessments, appeals, audits, and litigation.
• Review quarterly advance tax computations.
• Ensure timely filing of all statutory returns.

8. Audit, Risk & Internal Controls

• Strongen enterprise-wide internal control systems.
• Lead:
• Internal Audit

• IFC Compliance
• Ensure closure of audit observations within agreed timelines.
• Develop enterprise risk management frameworks.
• Drive fraud prevention and compliance monitoring.

9. IPO Readiness & Capital Markets

• Lead the company's IPO preparedness and public listing strategy.
• Coordinate with investment bankers, merchant bankers, legal advisors, registrars, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with SEBI, stock exchange, and corporate governance requirements.
• Develop IPO financial models, disclosures, and due diligence documentation.
• Drive implementation of governance frameworks required for listed entities.
• Support investor roadshows and analyst presentations.

10. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

• Identify strategic acquisition and merger opportunities.
• Lead financial due diligence, valuation, and deal structuring.
• Conduct financial modelling and synergy analysis.
• Coordinate legal, tax, commercial, and operational integration.
• Support post-merger integration and value realization.

11. Fund Raising & Investor Relations

• Develop and execute debt and equity fund-raising strategies.
• Build strong relationships with banks, NBFCs, PE/VC investors, institutional investors, and financial institutions.
• Lead negotiations for structured finance and growth capital.
• Prepare investor presentations, financial models, and business plans.
• Manage lender compliance and covenant reporting.

12. Corporate Governance & Secretarial Compliance

• Ensure compliance with the Companies Act, Secretarial Standards, and applicable corporate regulations.
• Support Board Meetings, Audit Committee Meetings, and Annual General Meetings.
• Ensure timely statutory filings and maintenance of corporate records.
• Promote ethical governance and financial transparency.

13. Team Leadership

• Build and mentor high-performing finance teams.
• Drive a performance-oriented culture.
• Develop succession planning and leadership capability within the finance function.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, and Operations.
