Job summary

Companion Placements is seeking a Chartered Accountant to lead accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and strategic financial planning in a manufacturing environment. You will drive governance, internal controls and regulatory compliance while steering treasury, fundraising and working capital management.

The role requires hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, ERP systems and BI tools, plus a strong ability to provide financial insights to support strategic decisions and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• CA qualified with demonstrable experience in financial governance and regulatory compliance.
• Strong accounting knowledge across budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Experience in manufacturing sector is essential.

Role & responsibilities

• Lead Accounting, Financial Reporting, Budgeting & Financial Planning.
• Ensure statutory, tax, legal and regulatory compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls, governance, audits and financial discipline.
• Drive fundraising, banking, treasury and working capital management.
• Lead investor relations, lender management and credit rating initiatives.
• Support strategic initiatives including expansion projects, M&A, ESG, NCLT and new business ventures.
• Drive digital transformation through SAP S/4 HANA, ERP, BI and automation initiatives.
• Strengthen MIS, business analytics, dashboards and management reporting.
• Act as a strategic business partner by providing financial insights for key business decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and business performance monitoring.
• Evaluate capital investments, expansion projects and business opportunities.
• Drive cost optimization, profitability improvement and operational efficiency.
• Oversee commercial functions including procurement, vendor development and high-value commercial negotiations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate financial and business risks.
• Oversee IT infrastructure and key administrative functions.
• Develop and implement financial policies, SOPs and governance frameworks.
• Advise Management and the Board on strategy, profitability, cash flow and business growth.
• Arrange project funding and monitor utilization of funds.

Preferred candidate profile

• Must be a qualified CA.
• Must have experience in manufacturing sector.
