Job summary

Wholsum Foods, home to Slurrp Farm and Mille, is seeking an experienced finance leader to head PAN India financial operations and risk management.

You will lead fundraising, investor relations, budgeting, compliance, and strategic planning while mentoring the finance team in a fast-growing startup environment.

Based in Gurgaon, this on-site role offers the opportunity to shape the financial future of a BCorp-certified company with a Great Place to Work culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial planning, accounting, investor relations and fundraising.
• Senior finance leadership experience, preferably CFO/Finance Director.
• Knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
• Proficiency with accounting software (Tally) and MS Office.

WHAT WILL YOU DO AT WHOLSUM FOODS?

Are you ready to shape the future of Financial Strategy in a fast-paced startup environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to lead , plan, direct, coordinate, drive and oversee PAN India financial and risk management operations for Wholsum Foods and additionally be responsible for fundraising and investor relations for the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. 1. Financial Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company's mission and goals. Perform and manage fundraising plans and capital structure. Develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing staff. Develops organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities; projecting acquisition and expansion prospects; analyzing organization operations. Identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement; and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
2. 2. Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Mentoring and guiding the team for development opportunities and enhanced performance.
3. 3. Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.Ensure adherence to control procedures, regulatory and other government compliance.Monitoring day-to-day accounting operations and legal compliance of all the entities.
4. 4. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory bodies.Plan, implement and manage investment strategies.
5. 5. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, implementing effective risk management strategies.
6. 6. Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes and enhance organizational performance. Managing working capital, cash flows and taxation (direct and indirect) to optimize finances. Cash flow planning to match availability of funds with needs. Develops finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
7. 7. Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives. Preparing and presenting monthly financial performance reports to the stakeholders (board, investors and others).
8. 8. Audit Coordination: Oversee financial audits, working closely with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance and accuracy.
9. 9. Strategic Planning: Contribute to the overall strategic planning and growth of the company.

REQUIREMENTS

• 10+ years of experience in financial planning, accounting, investor relations and fundraising.
• Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably as a CFO or Finance Director.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, compliance, and industry best practices.
• Certified CA by qualification with CS/Master/MBA qualification will be an advantage.
• Proficiency with accounting software(Tally), word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Comfortable in multitasking and working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and translate complex business requirements into actionable insights.
• Proven track record of delivering data-driven insights that have resulted in tangible business outcomes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making with data-driven insights.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast paced environment.
