Job summary

SYSTRA India is seeking a Chief Automatic Fare Collection expert & Chief Resident Engineer- AFC to lead bidding and delivery for metro and rail projects. You will design Open Loop ecosystems, including NCMC, QR codes, and mobile NFC payments, and oversee the Central Computer System for secure fare processing.

You will set technical standards for gates, TVMs and encryption, lead site installations, coordinate with Telecom and Banking partners for real-time settlements, and drive end-to-end

Qualifications

• Total experience of 23+ years in relevant fields.
• Minimum 7+ years on AFC, rails or related projects.
• Graduate in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Designing payment strategy for Open Loop ecosystems including NCMC, QR codes, and mobile NFC payments.
• Overseeing Central Computer System for secure fare processing, data synchronization, and bank clearing.
• Setting technical standards for Automatic Gates, Ticket Vending Machines (TVM), and high-security encryption (PCI-DSS).
• Leading site installation of gates and station equipment, ensuring seamless integration with architectural finishes.
• Coordinating with Telecom for data transmission and Banking partners for real-time financial settlement.
• Leading end-to-end testing and demonstrating emergency gate-release protocols for CMRS safety certification.

Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Chief Automatic Fare Collection expert & Chief Resident Engineer- AFC is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Payment Strategy: Authorizing the design of "Open Loop" ecosystems, including NCMC (National Common Mobility Card), QR codes, and mobile NFC payments.
• System Architecture: Overseeing the Central Computer System (CCS) for secure fare processing, data synchronization, and bank clearing.
• Hardware Governance: Setting technical standards for Automatic Gates, Ticket Vending Machines (TVM), and high-security encryption (PCI-DSS).
• Site Leadership (CRE): Managing the physical installation of gates and station equipment, ensuring seamless integration with architectural finishes.
• Interface Management: Coordinating with Telecom for data transmission and Banking partners for real-time financial settlement.
• Safety & Commissioning: Leading end-to-end testing and demonstrating emergency gate-release protocols for CMRS safety certification.
