Job summary

Ultra Chemical Works is seeking an experienced chemical sourcing professional to identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable Chinese manufacturers and suppliers. You will manage sourcing cycles, negotiate prices and terms, and ensure quality and timely delivery for our trading business.

You will build long-term supplier relationships, monitor market trends, and coordinate with suppliers for samples, COA/MSDS, and documentation while working closely with internal teams in Thane.

Qualifications

• Experience 3-6 years in chemical sourcing, procurement, & international purchasing.
• Experience with Chinese chemical manufacturers, suppliers and market trends.
• Knowledge of international trade, import procedures, and shipping documentation.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Ability to work independently and develop new supplier networks.

Responsibilities

• Identify, source and develop reliable chemical manufacturers and suppliers across China.
• Source bulk chemicals, solvents, specialty chemicals as per company requirements.
• Identify and develop new suppliers using various sourcing methods and platforms.
• Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery timelines with Chinese suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and profitable trading opportunities.
• Verify supplier credibility, manufacturing capabilities, and product quality.
• Coordinate with suppliers for samples, COA, MSDS/SDS, technical specifications, and other required documents.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, MOQ, and delivery timelines with suppliers
• Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers for shipment schedules.
• Monitor market trends, product availability, and price fluctuations in China.
• Build long-term relationships with Chinese manufacturers to ensure consistent supply and better commercial terms.
