Job summary

SynergixServ Private Limited in Mumbai is seeking an experienced Chartering Manager to join our Commercial – Dry Bulk Operations team. You will manage chartered-in tonnage and cargo commitments, and optimize freight spreads to boost voyage profitability.

The role requires strong expertise in dry bulk chartering, freight trading, and voyage economics, with hands-on experience in TC/VC/COA fixtures, charterparty negotiations, and risk management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in dry bulk chartering within an operator environment.
• Proven experience managing chartered-in tonnage and cargo books.
• Strong knowledge of Handy/Supramax markets; Panamax experience is an advantage.
• Excellent understanding of charterparty negotiations, voyage economics, and freight trading.
• Proficiency in IMOS (VIP preferred) and voyage accounting systems.
• Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Business, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
