Job summary

ACB is seeking an experienced finance professional to manage day‑to‑day plant accounting and general ledger across its facilities. The role emphasizes month-end closes, MIS submission to the MD, and strict adherence to Ind AS while handling tax filings and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years in accounting, exposure to power/coal/ manufacturing sectors, and deep knowledge of Indian tax laws. Strong Excel and SAP FICO/MM/SD skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years post-qualification experience in accounting/finance.
• Experience in thermal power/coal/ manufacturing sectors preferred.
• Experience with Indian tax laws and power sector regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plant accounting operations and general ledger.
• Finalize monthly/quarterly trial balance and submit MIS to MD.
• Handle cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS and related regulations.
• Manage GST, TDS, TCS, and corporate tax filings for the plant.
• Supervise state electricity regulatory compliance and local levies.
• Manage GST audits, assessments, and litigations.
• Coordinate SAP FICO/MM/SD operations; implement/improve MM and SD integrations.
• Coordinate internal, statutory, and cost audits; maintain robust internal controls.

Role & responsibilities

• Accounting & Reporting:
• Manage day-to-day plant accounting operations and general ledger.
• Finalize monthly, quarterly trial balance of the plants in the region and submit MIS to MD on monthly/quarterly basis.
• Handle cost accounting, variance analysis, and inventory valuation for all the plants.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS while doing transactions.
• Taxation & Compliance:
• Manage GST, TDS, TCS, and corporate tax filings for the Plant.
• Superwise the team handling state electricity regulatory compliance and local levies.
• Manage GST audits, assessments, and litigations with tax authorities.
• Ensure timely payment and filing of all statutory dues.
• SAP Management:
• Oversee SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) operations.
• Implement and improve MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution) integrations.
• Troubleshoot financial workflow issues within the SAP system.
• Audit & Control:
• Coordinate internal, statutory, and cost audits for the plant.
• Maintain robust internal financial controls and risk management.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience.
• Preferably, at least 3 years working in a thermal power plant or Coal Washery Industry / Sponge Iron Plant / Manufacturing Industries / Process Industries.

Technical Skills:

• Hands-on expertise in SAP FICO/MM/SD modules with end-to-end implementation or support experience.
• Deep knowledge of Indian tax laws and power sector regulations.
• Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
