Job Overview

Assistant Manager – Audit & Tax at a Chartered Accountants firm located at Nariman Point, Mumbai. The role focuses on statutory audit of listed and unlisted companies, tax audit, and supporting a wide range of tax and compliance services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent statutory audits of listed, unlisted, and private limited entities.
• Handle quarterly limited reviews and monitoring of client accounts.
• Assist clients on accounting issues, implementation of IndAS, and preparation of audit certificates.
• Maintain firm documentation standards and peer‑review compliance.
• Compile and prepare details for income‑tax scrutiny assessments.
• Represent clients before Income Tax Department on various matters.
• Conduct tax audits for corporate and non‑corporate assessors and upload reports online.
• Finalize tax liabilities, compute final returns, and upload corporate and non‑corporate TDS returns.
• Check intimations and demands, apply for rectifications, and liaise with the Income Tax Department.
• Determine taxability for foreign remittances with DTAA provisions and prepare/upload form 15CB.
• Assist and consult clients on diverse taxation issues.
