Role Description

The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for managing and executing statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, accounting and financial reporting assignments, along with providing professional support on direct and indirect taxation matters.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and execution of statutory, internal, and tax audits.
• Preparation and review of financial statements.
• Review and maintenance of books of accounts and accounting records.
• Bank, ledger, GST, and other financial reconciliations.
• Compliance with applicable Accounting Standards, Companies Act, Income-tax Act, GST laws, and other relevant regulations.
• Handling GST and direct tax compliance and advisory assignments.
• Assisting clients in tax planning and other financial and regulatory matters.
• Preparation of audit reports, working papers, schedules, and management reports.
• Handling and responding to notices, assessments, and other communications from tax and regulatory authorities.
• Analysing financial information and identifying accounting, taxation, and compliance issues.
• Coordinating with clients and internal team members for timely completion of assignments.
• Keeping updated with changes in taxation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with valid membership of ICAI.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, auditing, GST, and direct taxation.
• Good understanding of audit procedures and applicable accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Tally / accounting software, MS Excel, and other office productivity tools.
• Ability to analyse financial data and interpret statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with clients and the internal team.
• High level of integrity, accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Strong commitment to deadlines and quality of work.
• Willingness to continuously update professional knowledge.

Experience

Prior experience in a Chartered Accountancy firm, particularly in statutory audit, tax audit, GST, income-tax, accounting, or advisory assignments, will be an advantage.

Freshly qualified CAs with strong technical knowledge and a willingness to learn may also be considered.

Compensation

Annual CTC: ₹3.60 Lakhs to ₹7.20 Lakhs
