Job summary

Arihant Hr Consultancy is seeking a senior finance professional to oversee end-to-end finance, accounting, and reconciliation across operations. The role covers statutory compliance, MIS reporting, budgeting, and business support to drive profitability and control risk.

The candidate will coordinate with auditors, manage month-end and year-end close, and provide actionable financial insights to management for strategic decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee complete finance, accounting, and bookkeeping operations.
• Review sales, purchases, expenses, journal entries, provisions, and accruals.
• Ensure accurate books of accounts, ledger scrutiny, and reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, receivables, payables, and working capital.
• Manage marketplace accounting, sales reconciliation, and settlement tracking.
• Prepare marketplace-wise sales, settlement, and profitability reports.
• Prepare and review MIS reports and analyze P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and profitability.
• Oversee GST and TDS calculations, reconciliations, payments, and return filings.
• Coordinate audits and ensure statutory compliance; support management with insights.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections; monitor liquidity and costs.
• Implement internal controls and process improvements; act as finance business partner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Finance & Accounting

• Oversee complete finance, accounting, and bookkeeping operations.
• Review sales, purchases, expenses, journal entries, provisions, and accruals.
• Ensure accurate books of accounts, ledger scrutiny, and bank/vendor/customer reconciliations.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing, receivables, payables, and working capital.

2. E-commerce Finance & Reconciliation

• Manage marketplace accounting, sales reconciliation, and settlement tracking.
• Review commissions, logistics charges, returns, refunds, discounts, and other deductions.
• Identify revenue leakage, settlement discrepancies, and unreconciled balances.
• Prepare marketplace-wise sales, settlement, and profitability reports.

3. MIS & Financial Reporting

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports.
• Analyze P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, sales, expenses, and profitability.
• Conduct budget vs. actual, variance, and product/channel profitability analysis.
• Provide financial insights and reports to management for decision-making.

4. GST, TDS & Statutory Compliance

• Oversee GST and TDS calculations, reconciliations, payments, and return filings.
• Review input tax credit, GST liabilities, and statutory ledgers.
• Handle GST/TDS notices, assessments, and compliance queries.
• Coordinate with external tax consultants and ensure timely statutory compliance.

5. Financial Statements & Audit

• Lead preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate statutory audits, tax audits, and year-end audit finalization.
• Ensure accurate financial records and audit readiness.
• Resolve audit observations and maintain proper documentation.

6. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
• Monitor liquidity, working capital, receivables, and payables.
• Analyze financial performance, cost variations, and profitability.
• Identify cost-control opportunities and improve financial efficiency.

7. Internal Controls & Process Improvement

• Develop and strengthen accounting policies, financial controls, and approval processes.
• Identify discrepancies, control gaps, financial risks, and potential revenue leakage.
• Improve accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance processes.
• Implement automation and process improvements wherever practical.

8. Management & Business Support

• Act as a finance business partner to management and cross-functional teams.
• Analyze product-wise, channel-wise, and marketplace-wise profitability.
• Support pricing, business expansion, and strategic financial decisions.
• Coordinate with e-commerce, operations, purchase, sales, auditors, and consultants.
• Present financial performance, risks, and recommendations to management.
