Job summary

Med Karma Healthcare Solutions in India seeks an experienced Charge Entry Team Lead / SME with strong knowledge of U.S. Medical Billing and RCM. The ideal candidate will lead charge entry operations, monitor quality, and guide the team on billing workflows.

You will train staff, track productivity against SLAs, work with multiple EHR/PM systems, and generate basic operational reports in MS Excel, while ensuring adherence to client requirements.

• Minimum 23 years of SME/Team Lead experience in U.S. Medical Billing/RCM.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Charge Entry operations for U.S. healthcare accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of charges in accordance with client and payer requirements.
• Review charges for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with billing guidelines.
• Identify and resolve charge entry errors, discrepancies, and process issues.
• Train, guide, and support team members on Charge Entry processes and billing workflows.
• Monitor team productivity, quality, accuracy, and daily performance targets.
• Conduct regular process audits and provide feedback/coaching to team members.
• Handle escalations and coordinate with internal teams to resolve process-related issues.
• Maintain process documentation and assist in implementing process improvements.
• Work effectively with different EHR/PM systems and billing platforms.
• Prepare and analyze basic operational reports using MS Excel.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, client SLAs, quality standards, and productivity expectations.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Charge Entry processes, team handling, quality monitoring, productivity management, and U.S. healthcare billing workflows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 23 years of experience as an SME / Team Lead in U.S. Medical Billing / RCM.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Charge Entry processes.
• Good understanding of the complete U.S. healthcare billing and RCM workflow.
• Experience working with multiple EHR/PM systems.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. medical billing terminology and processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage workload and consistently meet daily productivity and quality targets.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to train, mentor, guide, and monitor team members.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, including filtering, sorting, and basic reporting.
• Ability to work independently as well as manage team responsibilities.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates currently working as Charge Entry SME / TL in U.S. Medical Billing or RCM.
• Prior experience handling a team and monitoring productivity, quality, and SLA metrics will be preferred.
• Candidates with experience across different specialties/accounts and billing systems will be an advantage.
