Job summary

Airtel is seeking an Analyst in Channel Accounting based at the Bangalore office. You will handle daily reconciliations for Airtel Money processes, ensuring timely closing of items and accurate GL/AR entries in compliance with central guidelines.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, support audits, and push for process improvements while developing expertise in Airtel Money operations across Africa.

Qualifications

• B.Com / BBA / M.Com as education base.
• MBA-Finance (Optional) considered for advanced roles.
• 1+ years in F&A for Asst Manager; 3 years for Deputy Manager.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily reconciliations related to Airtel Money processes for regulatory submissions and internal recons.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and follow up with stakeholders to close items.
• Record daily GL/AR entries per central guidelines and close monthly books as per calendar.
• Assist audits and internal compliance scheduling with proper documentation.
• Adhere to processes and controls; suggest improvements and assist cross-functional teams.

Location - Prestige Shantiniketan, Whitefield, Bangalore Airtel Office

1. Channel Optimization

• Preparation of daily critical reconciliations related to Airtel Money Process to ensure closure of aged open items in Daily Trust Recon for regulatory submissions and other internal recons like Interoperability, International Money Transfer, Switch/Gateway recons etc to monitor financial exposures & timely settlements.
• Preparation of Bank reconciliations and follow-up with respective stakeholders for closure of open items.
• Ensuring daily accounting of entries in GL/ AR module as per central guidelines and process documents.
• Ensuring timely book closure on monthly basis as per defined calendar and reporting of financial schedules.
• Preparation of schedule for audits and internal compliances.
• Strict adherence to process and controls as per process documents & SLA trackers.
• Performing adhoc activities & projects as and when assigned by Team Lead.
• Provide inputs in view of process improvement & for resolution of issues, interact with cross functional team for queries.
• Understand Airtel Money business to analyze and handle volumes of transactions in daily recons

2. Process Optimization

• Identify open items in recons, gaps and improvement areas to enhance the efficiency of the existing processes.
• Study best practices in the industry to inculcate the tools and technologies within the systems.

3. People Management

• Work closely with the internal & external stakeholders for seamless execution of the tasks.

4. Knowledge, Certifications and Experience

Education Qualification

• B. Com /BBA/M.Com
• MBA-Finance(Optional) Total Experience
• Asst Manager -1+ years of relevant work experience in F&A
• Deputy Manager 3 Years of relevant work experience in F & A Certifications required (if any) NA
