Job summary

WPP Production in Mumbai is seeking a talented CG Generalist specializing in 3D modelling and texturing to join our creative team. You will contribute to the CG pipeline, delivering high-quality assets across multiple projects for a global marketing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a studio setting, proficiency in 3ds Max, Maya or Cinema 4D, and a strong portfolio showing brand and product work. This is a 6-month contractual engagement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional CG generalist or 3D modelling/ texturing experience.
• Proficiency in 3ds Max, Maya and/or Cinema 4D is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of topology, UV mapping, texturing, shading and look development.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating brand/product modelling and texturing.
• Excellent knowledge of Photoshop; familiarity with V-Ray.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to a 6-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D brand and product assets via modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing and shading.
• Maintain accurate topology, proportions, and silhouettes from references.
• Develop realistic textures, materials and shaders for various assets.
• Contribute to look development and establish consistent visual styles.
• Collaborate with senior artists and directors to meet project requirements.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all 3D assets throughout production.
• Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges in modelling and texturing.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment and meet deadlines.
• Adapt to different briefs, styles, products, and project needs.
• Willingness to engage on a 6-month contract.

What Does a CG Generalist do at WPP Production?

We are looking for a talentedCG Generalist with strong expertise in 3D Modelling and Texturing to join our creative team.

As a CG Generalist - Modelling & Texturing, you will play a key role in bringing creative and visual concepts to life across the CG pipeline. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 3D modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing, shading, and look development, with a strong eye for detail, form, materials, and visual quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality3D brand and product assets, including modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and shading using3ds Max, Maya, and/or Cinema 4D.
• Maintain accuratetopology, proportions, details, and silhouettesbased on provided references.
• Develop realistic and visually accuratetextures, materials, and shadersfor a variety of products and brand assets.
• Contribute tolook developmentand help establish consistent visual styles across projects.
• Collaborate with senior artists, art directors, and other creative team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality assets.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all 3D assets throughout the production pipeline.
• Troubleshoot and resolvetechnical and creative challengesrelated to modelling, texturing, shading, and asset creation.
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of visual quality and attention to detail.
• Adapt to different creative briefs, visual styles, products, and project requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experienceas aCG Generalist / 3D Modelling & Texturing Artistin a studio, agency, or production environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in3D Modelling and Texturingis essential.
• Proficiency inAutodesk 3ds Max, Maya, and/or Cinema 4Dis mandatory.
• Strong understanding of3D modelling, topology, UV mapping, texturing, shading, and look development.
• A strong modelling and texturing portfolio is mandatory.Candidates must be able to demonstrate their experience through relevant 3D work, particularlybrand/product modelling and texturing.
• Strong skills inAdobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
• Familiarity withV-Rayand 3D rendering workflows.
• Good understanding of materials, shaders, lighting, and rendering.
• Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of form, proportion, and visual aesthetics.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior artists and multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Willingness to work on a6-month contractual engagement.
