WPP Production in Chennai seeks a skilled CG Generalist to join our creative team. You will create high-quality 3D assets using 3ds Max, Maya, or Cinema 4D, ensuring accurate topology, UVs, and textures that align with brand guidelines.

• 3+ years of professional CG generalist/3D modelling & texturing experience.
• Proficiency in modelling topology, UV mapping, texturing, shading, and look development.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating brand/product modelling and texturing.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D brand and product assets including modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing and shading.
• Maintain topology, proportions and silhouettes based on references.
• Develop realistic textures, materials and shaders across assets.
• Collaborate with senior artists and art directors to meet project requirements.
• Ensure consistency and quality across all 3D assets in production.
• Troubleshoot modelling/texturing/shading challenges in pipeline.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining visual quality.
• Adapt to varying briefs and project needs.

What Does a CG Generalist do at WPP Production?

We are looking for a talented CG Generalist with strong expertise in 3D Modelling and Texturing to join our creative team.

As a CG Generalist - Modelling & Texturing, you will play a key role in bringing creative and visual concepts to life across the CG pipeline. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 3D modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing, shading, and look development, with a strong eye for detail, form, materials, and visual quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D brand and product assets, including modelling, UV unwrapping, texturing, and shading using 3ds Max, Maya, and/or Cinema 4D.
• Maintain accurate topology, proportions, details, and silhouettes based on provided references.
• Develop realistic and visually accurate textures, materials, and shaders for a variety of products and brand assets.
• Contribute to look development and help establish consistent visual styles across projects.
• Collaborate with senior artists, art directors, and other creative team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality assets.
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and quality across all 3D assets throughout the production pipeline.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical and creative challenges related to modelling, texturing, shading, and asset creation.
• Work efficiently within a fast-paced production environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining a high level of visual quality and attention to detail.
• Adapt to different creative briefs, visual styles, products, and project requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a CG Generalist / 3D Modelling & Texturing Artist in a studio, agency, or production environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in 3D Modelling and Texturing is essential.
• Proficiency in Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, and/or Cinema 4D is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of 3D modelling, topology, UV mapping, texturing, shading, and look development.
• A strong modelling and texturing portfolio is mandatory. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their experience through relevant 3D work, particularly brand/product modelling and texturing.
• Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop.
• Familiarity with V-Ray and 3D rendering workflows.
• Good understanding of materials, shaders, lighting, and rendering.
• Strong attention to detail and a good understanding of form, proportion, and visual aesthetics.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with senior artists and multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently when required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
