Job summary

BMWTechWorks India Private Limited is seeking a CFD engineer to run simulations for engine cooling circuits and gas dynamics of intake/exhaust components. You will build and clean geometry, configure simulations, and analyze results to inform design decisions.

Responsibilities include creating models with StarCCM+ and ANSA, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and presenting findings. Strong Python scripting and AI awareness are desirable for advanced tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with CFD simulation tools, specifically Siemens StarCCM+ and ANSA for geometry preprocessing.
• Ability to create, set up, and run simulation models for vehicle and powertrain components.
• Strong skills in cleaning and building up geometry for simulation purposes.
• Competence in analyzing simulation results and generating clear reports and presentations.

• Focus on pressure losses, uniformity indices, and flow angle at locations.

• CFD-Simulation of Engine Cooling Circuits and Gas Dynamics of intake and exhaust components
• Simulative Analysis of engine fluid coolant circuits and of of gas dynamics of intake and exhaust components
• Focus eg on pressure losses, uniformity indices, angle of flow at certain locations
• Creation of a simulation model of the system in interest using the Tools ANSA and/or Siemens StarCCM+ (cleaning and building up geometry provided by EA-35, setting up the simulation for provided operation points, running the simulation, analysing the results and creating reports/presentations)

Must have technical skill

• Experience with CFD simulation tools, specifically Siemens StarCCM+ and ANSA for geometry preprocessing
• Ability to create, set up, and run simulation models for vehicle and powertrain components
• Strong skills in cleaning and building up geometry for simulation purposes
• Competence in analyzing simulation results and generating clear reports and presentations

Good to have Technical skills

• Experience in automotive CAE simulation projects
• Basic knowledge of vehicle powertrain systems and their simulation requirements
