Job summary

Community Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care sites, assisting providers with patient visits and procedures, preparing rooms, and performing routine tests. You will document care in EPIC EMR and help coordinate referrals and follow-ups.

The role requires completing an MA program or HS diploma with MA experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program, or a HS diploma with MA experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Certification and 1 year of MA experience required for this location.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including cleaning and stocking supplies.
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of the provider’s caseload.
• Obtain vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection as needed.
• Document care using EPIC EMR.
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient needs and protocols.
• Process referrals and medication refills as directed.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice.
