Job summary

ASP-RCM Solutions seeks a skilled Behavioral Health Coder to assign accurate codes for outpatient and inpatient encounters, review clinical documentation, and edit coding outputs. You will work with our AI engine to validate proposals and ensure reliability.

Mandatory certification in coding (AAPC/AHIMA) and 2+ years of behavioral health coding experience are required, with strong CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS knowledge and attention to NCCI edits.

Qualifications

• Active AAPC or AHIMA coding certification (CPC, COC, CIC, CPMA, CRC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA or RHIT) and current
• Two+ years coding behavioral health, mental health or substance use encounters
• Solid command of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and NCCI edits
• Ability to read clinical documentation and identify misalignment with codes
• Comfortable with a measured accuracy standard

Job description

You code behavioral health encounters across outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Accuracy is measured and audited, and the standard is 95 percent or better. You will work alongside ASP AI Engine, our autonomous coding engine, reviewing what it proposes and deciding what is right.
