Job description

Centerless Grinding Machine in Imt Manesar Gurgaon Mcps

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain tool room machinery with a strong focus on grinding machines (surface, cylindrical, and tool & cutter grinding).
• Carry out precision machining for tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as per design and production requirements.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine machining requirements.
• Ensure proper tool setting, alignment, and inspection before starting operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting of grinding machines.
• Maintain tool quality standards by ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Handle measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, height gauge, profile projector, etc.) for inspection of tools.
• Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards in tool room operations.
• Support production teams by supplying accurate and timely tools for manufacturing.
• Maintain records of tool usage, maintenance, and inventory.

Requirements

• ITI/Diploma in Tool & Die Making/Mechanical or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in tool room operations, specifically with grinding machines.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, jigs, dies, and fixtures.
• Ability to work independently with high precision and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with CNC/conventional machines will be an added advantage.
