Job summary

AVIN Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to define, implement, and verify sensor device drivers for EPS-related systems. You will work on complex drivers, implement tests, and collaborate with hardware and controls teams to ensure ISO 26262 compliance and full functionality.

You will engage in SDLC adherence, using ECU toolchains, DOORS if applicable, and cross-functional reviews to meet project goals.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in engineering (EEE/ECE preferred).
• Hands-on device driver and bootloader experience with automotive sensors.
• Experience with SENT/UART protocols and ECU-level toolchains.
• Familiarity with ECU schematics and ASIL/ASPICE processes.

Responsibilities

Senior Software Engineer - Job Specification [Sensor]

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the definition, implementation, and verification of sensor complex device drivers, with a strong focus on Electric Power Steering system and power electronics hardware. The role covers the full development lifecycle from technical realization concepts, requirements, implementation and working closely with hardware and controls teams to ensure full functionality and also compliance with ISO 26262.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain complex device drivers for torque and angle sensor / Position Sensor for automotive EPS ECU
• Perform testing and debugging for developed software components
• Conduct non-automated tests on desk and motor test benches for motor applications.
• Create and manage functional software requirements using tools like DOORS, ensuring traceability and alignment with project goals and customer needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges
• Ensure compliance with automotive product development processes and standards such as ASPICE
• Establish and adhere to the guidelines and procedures throughout the SDLC.
• Maintain documentation and traceability across the V-model.

Qualification and Experience:

• BE/BTECH or ME/MTECH in engineering discipline (EEE/ECE Preferred)
• Hands-on experience in device driver, Bootloader, protocols like SENT, UART, etc.,
• Familiar with usage of ECU schematics/layout
• Hands-on experience in cross compilers, debuggers/emulators
• Hands-on experience in handling measurement tools like Oscilloscope, Current probe, Signal generators, etc.,
• Hands on Experience in low-level drivers for BLDC Application
• Exposure to Automotive standard processes-CMM/ASPICE and Functional safety ISO 26262 overview
