Job summary

Nalanda Academy of Science and Technical Education is seeking a CCTV & Hardware/Network Administrator to manage CCTV systems, computer hardware, and network infrastructure across campuses. The role includes installation, configuration, monitoring, and regular maintenance, with hands-on troubleshooting and user support.

Ideal candidates will have a Diploma in CS/IT/Electronics/Networking and hands-on CCTV experience, IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and basic networking knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on CCTV installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, monitor, and maintain IP/Analog CCTV cameras, NVRs, and related surveillance equipment.
  • Monitor CCTV systems to ensure cameras/recording equipment function properly.
  • Troubleshoot CCTV, hardware, networking, and IT equipment issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of cameras and infrastructure.
  • Maintain records of equipment, incidents, maintenance, and support.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for repairs and procurement.
  • Manage IT inventory and allocations; support mobile/landline records and access controls.
  • Provide basic staff/student IT support including email/account management and password resets.
  • Perform campus IT/security checks as needed.

We are looking for a skilled and responsible CCTV & Hardware/Network Administrator to manage and maintain CCTV surveillance systems, computer hardware, network infrastructure, and other IT-related support activities across our campuses.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in CCTV installation and maintenance, hardware troubleshooting, basic networking, IT asset management, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, monitor, and maintain IP and Analog CCTV Cameras, NVRs, and related surveillance equipment .

Monitor CCTV systems and ensure cameras and recording equipment are functioning properly.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CCTV, computer hardware, networking, and other IT equipment.

Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance of cameras, wiring, and related infrastructure.

Maintain records of equipment, incidents, maintenance activities, and technical support.

Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for repairs, maintenance, and procurement.

Maintain IT inventory, stock records, and equipment allocation details.

Support the management of company mobile phones, SIM cards, landlines, and related records.

Handle mobile/SIM allocation and collection based on employee requirements and separation processes.

Provide basic technical support to staff and students, including email account creation, activation/deactivation, and password resets.

Conduct regular campus visits and technical/security checks.

Maintain confidentiality and follow organizational policies while handling surveillance and IT-related information.

Perform other IT and administrative responsibilities assigned based on organizational requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Networking, or a related field .

Hands-on experience in CCTV installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting .

Knowledge of IP Cameras, Analog Cameras, NVRs, DVRs, networking, LAN/WAN, and computer hardware .

Ability to troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.

Basic knowledge of network infrastructure and IT security .

Good knowledge of MS Office and documentation.

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Networking certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

2–5 years of relevant experience in CCTV, Hardware, Networking, or IT Support preferred.
