Job summary

DALMIA BHARAT Ltd in Bihar (Samastipur) is seeking a plant operations professional to coordinate with field staff and monitor product quality to QA standards. The role requires vigilance in safety and regulatory compliance within a cement production environment.

You will supervise chemical handling, maintain a tidy control room, and implement a work permit system while reporting hazards. You will also drive team development and aim to boost employee engagement across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with CCR field staff for smooth plant operation.
• Monitor quality of Raw meal, Clinker and Cement to defined QMS range.
• Inspect the plant regularly; report malfunctions to the shift supervisor.
• Supervise loading/unloading of chemicals to/from trucks; maintain cleanliness of the control room.
• Ensure operational activities meet public safety, employee safety and environmental standards.
• Implement the work permit system and propose safety improvements to the Safety Head.
• Report dangerous hazards on plant systems, workplace, and environment.
• Review team performance and provide developmental inputs; execute IDP for self and team members.
• Develop strategies to enhance employee satisfaction and engagement.

Job description

• Undertake co-ordination with field people from CCR for smooth operation of the plant.
• Monitor the quality of the products- Raw meal, Clinker and Cement- and maintain the quality within the range as defined in the QMS procedures.
• Check the plant regularly, malfunctions to the shift supervisor and makes work request.
• Supervise the loading and unloading of chemicals to and from the trucks. Responsible for the cleanliness and tidiness of the control room and other rooms used by operations.
• Responsible for performing the operational activities to meet standards of public safety, employee safety and environmental citizenship that meet or exceed regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for the implementation of the work permit system and suggests improvements to the Safety Head. Report dangerous hazards on plant systems, work place , working environment and general public .
• Review and monitor performance of team members’ and provide requisite developmental support/ inputs. Complete the IDP Execution for self and team members as part of self and subordinate development.
• Strategize avenues for enhancing employee satisfaction in the function, resulting in high engagement levels of employees.
