Job summary

ABB Motion is seeking a seasoned procurement professional to support regional/global sourcing initiatives for the Motion business in Faridabad, India. You will purchase materials per technical specs, price, delivery, and terms, ensuring alignment with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

The role reports to the SCM Manager and focuses on implementing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining contract frameworks within the country and region.

Qualifications

• Full time BE -Mech
• Experience range 10 -15 years
• Candidate Should be from Motor industry
• Strong Experience in handling iron casting category-SCM
• Good Knowledge in SAP

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in alignment with category leader.
• Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms.
• Run benchmark studies for the Category team and sourcing initiatives.
• Create local contract amendments to frame agreements for a country and update frame contracts.

This Position reports to: SCM Manager

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support regional/global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional/global Category Manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Each day, you will purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring the purchase activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures.

Accountability

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Supporting the development and implementation of regional/global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional/global category leader.
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renewing price lists and terms and conditions.
• Running benchmark studies for the Category team and for specific sourcing initiatives.
• Creating local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates/maintains frame contracts.
