Job summary

Nayara Energy is seeking an experienced procurement professional in Mumbai to manage end-to-end procurement and finalization of contracts within the Professional Services category. The role requires 8-12 years in Indirect Procurement, with experience in Real estate/Marketing & Media/Professional Services.

You will drive spend analytics, negotiate with suppliers, ensure SOP adherence, and coordinate with compliance for due diligence. Strong data presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Graduate Engineering in any discipline; MBA is preferred.
  • 8-12 years in Indirect Procurement with focus on Real estate/Marketing & Media/Professional Services.
  • Strong understanding of procurement operations and data presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end procurement processes including RFX, tendering, bid evaluation, and PO issuance per approved sourcing strategies.
  • Prepare Qualitative Comparative Statements (QCS), negotiate with suppliers, and process Notes for Approval (NFA) as per DoA.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs, audit protocols, and governance guidelines.
  • Drive operational excellence through reduced cycle times and improved order quality.
  • Monitor and close open PRs/POs; issue timely orders against ARCs.
  • Ensure supplier registration and coordinate third-party due diligence with compliance.
  • Act as single point of contact for LC issuance/closure and related trade finance activities.
  • Manage supplier relationships and timely submission of contractual documents.
  • Provide real-time updates on order status and elevate issues to category leads as needed.
  • Collaborate with planning and analytics to prepare spend analysis and demand forecasts.
  • Track category spend, deviations, and present insights for decision-making.
  • Develop negotiation plans aligned with category objectives and maintain supplier database.
  • Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the supply base.
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain records of procurement actions, savings, and category trends for reporting.

Job Purpose: Responsible for Procurement/finalization of contracts in line with the requirement raised by Business Functions as per assigned categories from Category Lead Professional Services. This position will interact with a number of functions within the organization & also with external parties and will report to the Category Lead – Professional Services.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct end-to-end procurement processes including RFX, tendering, bid evaluation, and PO issuance in alignment with approved sourcing strategies
  • Prepare Qualitative Comparative Statements (QCS), negotiate with suppliers, and process Notes for Approval (NFA) as per Delegation of Authority (DoA)
  • Ensure adherence to procurement SOPs, audit protocols, and governance guidelines
  • Drive operational excellence through reduced turnaround times, improved order quality, and digital tool adoption
  • Monitor and close open PRs and POs; ensure timely release orders against ARCs.
  • Ensure timely supplier registration and facilitate third-party due diligence in coordination with the compliance team
  • Act as the single point of contact for LC issuance/closure, EMD/SD management, and related trade finance activities
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure timely submission of contractual documents
  • Provide real-time updates on order status and elevate issues to category leads as needed

Spend Analytics & Demand Planning

  • Collaborate with planning and analytics teams to prepare spend analysis and demand forecasts
  • Track category spend, monitor deviations, and present insights to management for informed decision-making
  • Develop & Execute negotiation plans aligned with category objectives
  • Build and maintain an accurate supplier database for category-specific requirements
  • Identify and onboard new or alternate suppliers to strengthen the supply base
  • Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and initiate corrective actions where necessary

Compliance, Documentation & Reporting

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal controls, taxation policies, and SAP MM protocols
  • Prepare and submit documentation for approvals, audits, and governance reviews
  • Maintain records of procurement actions, savings achieved, and category trends for reporting and analysis
Qualifications

Knowledge

Educational Qualifications & Certifications:

  • Graduate Engineering in any discipline. MBA is preferred –Any discipline.

Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience:

  • 8-12 years in Indirect Procurement. Experience in Real estate/Marketing & Media/Professional Services category is preferred.
