Job summary

Varroc is seeking a Category Buyer - CAPEX to manage sourcing of Capex equipment and drive cost-saving initiatives. The role includes RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, and contract creation, with close collaboration with internal users and the technical team.

You will handle category management, ARCs/SLAs, and cash flow considerations through DPO improvements, PR to PO conversion, and monthly MIS reporting. A BE/B.Tech background is preferred for this position.

Qualifications

• Capex purchasing and category management exposure.
• Proficiency with SAP and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience in spend analysis and catalog management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing Capex equipment and floating RFQs to suppliers.
• Negotiate with bidders, create POs and contracts.
• Coordinate with internal users and technical team for scope and approvals.
• Follow up on GRIN and supplier payments.

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for sourcing of Capex equipment, Category Management, Implementing Cost saving projects, establish ARCs and SLAs, Cash flow management with DPO improvement, Sourcing, PR to PO conversion, Monthly MIS.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for sourcing of Capex equipment
• Responsible for floating the RFQ & getting quotations from suppliers based on scope of work received from internal users.
• Understand the technical recommendations from technical team
• Negotiations with potential bidders, create POs and contracts
• Resolve queries from internal and external stakeholders
• Follow up for GRIN and for payment to suppliers.

• Category Management, Implementing Cost saving projects, establish ARCs and SLAs,
• Cash flow management with DPO improvement, Sourcing, PR to PO conversion, Monthly MIS.
