WebSenor Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking a Counselor / Career Counselor to guide students and candidates in education and career choices. The role involves counselling, lead follow-up, and helping applicants with enrollment processes.

You will work on inbound inquiries, schedule sessions, maintain CRM records, and collaborate with admissions and academic teams to ensure a smooth enrollment journey.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any relevant field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and convincing skills.
  • Good listening and problem-solving abilities.
  • Empathetic approach with the ability to understand student/candidate concerns.
  • Comfortable with calling, follow-ups, and target-oriented work.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office / Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal teams.
  • Previous experience in counselling, admissions, recruitment, inside sales, customer service, or business development will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Counsel and guide students/candidates based on their career goals, interests, qualifications, and requirements.
  • Understand individual student needs and recommend suitable courses, programs, training, or career opportunities.
  • Conduct counselling sessions through phone calls, online meetings, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Handle enquiries related to courses, admissions, eligibility, fees, curriculum, career prospects, and enrollment processes.
  • Follow up with prospective students/candidates through calls, messages, and emails.
  • Maintain regular communication with leads and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Build strong and positive relationships with students, parents, and candidates.
  • Understand candidate concerns and provide appropriate solutions or guidance.
  • Convert qualified leads into successful admissions/enrollments.
  • Achieve assigned counselling, follow-up, conversion, and enrollment targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, leads, conversations, and follow-ups.
  • Update candidate information and follow-up status in CRM or internal systems.
  • Coordinate with admissions, academic, sales, and other internal teams to ensure a smooth enrollment process.
  • Provide timely updates to candidates throughout the admission/enrollment journey.
  • Stay updated on available courses, programs, eligibility criteria, fees, and career opportunities.
  • Handle objections professionally and help candidates make informed decisions.

Job Summary
