Capacity Planning _ TRIMS & Polymer Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
- Build a resilient supply chain for the Automotive Division through Long term Capacity planning and mapping:
- a.Capacity assessment & planning for existing supply chain parts based on 3 years LTP
- b.Action Planning for Capacity Shortfall mitigation for TRIMS & Polymer Domain
- c.Enabling creation of required infrastructure at supplier end to meet demand through partnering with SSU/CDMM/PD/SCM monitoring at suppliers end
- d.Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till SOP
- e.SSU / SCM / SQE vulnerable supplier alternatives
- f.New projects C/O parts capacity mapping (across Platforms cross commodities)
- Drive Short term Capacity Planning & supply chain challenges mitigation:
- a. Identification of short-term challenges with Supply chain
- b. Capacity enhancement on current parts
- c. Quality related supplies issues (alternate sourcing / FTG corrections with current suppliers)
- d. Ensure kick-off part development with close monitoring till SOP
- Ensure Close Monitoring of high risk projects requiring sharp ramp up to meet business demands
- Drive capacity augmentation, part availability with supply chain & SSU to ensure ramp-up for TRIMS & Polymer Domain
- De-risking supply chain - Identification of risk in supply chain, working along with SSU to identify alternate sources, Creating Capex budgets in line with the same, enabling VOBs & kick off capacity creation for TRIMS & Polymer Domain
- Digitization - Drive simplicity & efficiency through Digital Capacity Planning and monitoring (Implementation Capacity Planning tool)
- TRIMS & Polymer Domain Competencies:
- Planning & Organising
- Agile decision making & actions
- Assertive Communication
- Strong Business Acumen
- Aptitude for technology
- Relationship & Stakeholder Management
- Review & Control
- Analytical skills
- Weld Line & FTG Understanding
- Assessment of Shared & Dedicated capacity across supplier base
- Capacity assessment techniques, Vendor assessment for capacity & development times
- Arriving the Establishing FTG (Facilities, Tooling & Gauges) at supplier process to ensure products are delivered as per requirements
- Development & Delivery of components across TRIMS & Polymer commodity through the development of FTG for capacity creation and Ramp-up
- Product development through APQP, M&M requirements, MPDS process.
- Knowledge & understanding of PPAP Process
- Identify and eliminate the capacity constraints as per volume demand using method study tools (Man-Machine charts, deciding the online – offline strategy, low cost automation etc.).
