Job summary

Reflections Interior Products is seeking a CAM Engineer to join its Product Engineering team in Bengaluru to own CNC programming and manufacturing support for CNC machines.

You will develop programs for turning, bending, laser cutting and more, convert CAD drawings to production-ready programs, and optimize tooling and machining parameters while collaborating with design and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant CAD/CAM and CNC programming experience.
• Hands-on manufacturing shop-floor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CNC programs for CNC Turning, CNC Extrusion Bending, CNC Rod Bending, CNC Laser Cutting, CNC Knife Cutting.
• Convert product designs and CAD drawings into production-ready machine programs.
• Develop toolpaths, select tools and define machining parameters.
• Carry out simulation and collision checks before releasing programs to production.
• Support machine setting, trials and first-piece development for new products.
• Optimize programs to improve cycle time, accuracy, finish and material utilization.
• Train machine operators on correct program usage and machining processes.

Job description

We are looking for a CAM Engineer to join our Product Engineering team and take ownership of programming and manufacturing support for our CNC machines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage CNC programs for:
• CNC Turning
• CNC Extrusion Bending
• CNC Rod Bending
• CNC Laser Cutting
• CNC Knife Cutting
• Convert product designs and CAD drawings into production-ready machine programs.
• Develop toolpaths, select tools and define machining parameters.
• Carry out simulation and collision checks before releasing programs to production.
• Support machine setting, trials and first-piece development for new products.
• Optimize programs to improve cycle time, accuracy, finish and material utilization.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues along with Production and Maintenance teams.
• Maintain CNC programs, revisions, drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Work closely with Product Design and Engineering teams during new product development.
• Train machine operators on correct program usage and machining processes.

Preferred Skills

• Good knowledge of CAD/CAM software such as Siemens NX CAM or equivalent.
• Experience in CNC programming and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of tooling, cutting parameters, tolerances and GD&T.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Experience with sheet metal, aluminium and metal fabrication will be an advantage.
• Exposure to different CNC controllers and post-processors preferred.

Qualification & Experience
