Position Summary
The Cake Workshop Trainer is responsible for leading and instructing cake decorating workshops at a cake institute, focusing on both foundational and advanced techniques. This role involves designing and delivering engaging training sessions, providing expert guidance to participants, and ensuring a high standard of educational quality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Workshop Planning and Design
- Develop and design comprehensive workshop curricula, including lesson plans, training materials, and practical exercises.
- Create workshop content that covers a range of techniques, from basic cake decorating to advanced methods, tailored to various skill levels.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and styles into workshop offerings.
- Instruction and Training
- Conduct hands‑on workshops and classes, demonstrating cake decorating techniques, tools, and best practices.
- Provide clear, step‑by‑step instructions and ensure participants understand each aspect of the techniques being taught.
- Offer personalized guidance and feedback to participants to help them improve their skills and achieve their goals.

- Material Preparation and Management

- Quality Assurance

- Administrative Duties

- Represent the cake institute at industry events and demonstrations to promote the workshop program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry Arts, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in cake design and decoration, with a strong portfolio demonstrating advanced techniques and creativity.
- Proven experience in teaching or training, with the ability to effectively communicate and instruct diverse groups.
