TVS Motor invites experienced CAE engineers specializing in durability simulations to join the NPD - CMB section in Hosur. You will lead structural durability analyses across 3W and 4W platforms, forecasting fatigue life and validating FE models for static, dynamic, and fatigue performance.

The role demands advanced engineering fundamentals and the ability to propose design optimizations based on FEA outcomes, with close alignment to RLDA, test data, and project targets.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Full time) in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of experience in CAE/durability analysis or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural durability simulation and CAE analysis for 3W and 4W platforms.
• Perform fatigue life prediction analysis for vehicle system parts and subsystems.
• Evaluate and approve durability performance of parts/subsystems for NPD projects meeting QCD targets.
• Develop and validate FE models for static, dynamic, and fatigue analysis based on RLDA.
• Apply strength of materials, mechanics, and finite element methods in assessments.
• Propose design changes based on FEA results, manufacturing and packaging constraints.
• Correlate simulation results with road tests and proving grounds data.
• Prepare/update simulation standards aligned with test standards.

Job Purpose

Perform Durability simulation and fatigue life analysis for New Product Development (NPD) of vehicle systems / chassis systems for 3-Wheeler and 4-Wheeler vehicle platforms (Front suspension, Rear suspension, Wheels, Brakes, Axles, Propeller shaft, etc.,)

Analyze simulation results, identify structural weaknesses and develop design improvements to achieve durability and reliability targets as per TQT (Target Quality Table)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural durability simulation and CAE analysis for vehicle system parts in 3W and 4W platforms
• Perform fatigue life prediction analysis for vehicle system parts and subsystems (Front suspension, Rear suspension, Wheels, Brakes, Axles, Propeller shaft, etc.,)
• Evaluate and approve durability performance of parts/subsystems for NPD projects meeting QCD targets
• Develop and validate FE models for static, dynamic, and fatigue analysis based on RLDA
• Good engineering fundamentals - Strength of materials, Applied mechanics, Finite element methods, Weld strength and fatigue
• Design optimization and propose design changes based on FEA analysis, manufacturing and packaging constrains
• Correlate simulation results with physical durability tests (road load data, proving ground tests)
• Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis for structural durability performance
• Prepare/Update simulation standards and align with test standards
